Autumn Wishes

Hey, girl, hey! I know the calendar says it’s autumn, but here in the Low Country, these temperatures have been laughing at us. Today, I decided to write a double tetractys (a tetractys is a 20-syllable poem about whatever you choose; click the link for more information) about autumn.

Autumn Wishes

I
wait for
the day when
I finally
get to wear hoodies and sweater dresses.

Golden leaves dancing, floating on the wind
Apple cider
warm, cozy
autumn’s
wish.
