Meet Candace A. Jones
Hello, beautiful! I’m Candace A. Jones—the Christian book editor, author coach, and designer behind Refined by Candace℠.
I help Christian women develop, refine, and beautifully present the books God has placed on their hearts. Whether you are carrying an idea you haven’t yet written, working through an unfinished draft, or preparing a completed manuscript for publication, my heart is to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and excellence—without losing your authentic voice.
How it All Started
The public library was one of my favorite places as a child. Reading became a welcome adventure, with fantastic worlds and discoveries awaiting me as the pages turned. Those euphoric journeys fed my already creative imagination. It was only a matter of time before avid reading ignited my passion to help others create new worlds.
As a self-proclaimed logophile and bookworm, I began my path to prose and poetry in the 6th grade, prompted by the stories my English teacher had us write, creative or technical, using whatever imagery or wordplay came to mind. I knew I wanted my writing to make God proud. Throughout my teenage years, I focused on poetic expressions from heaven that I’d often share with my church.
My Heart in the Details
I understand what it means to pour your heart into a message and to want every word to do it justice. That is why I approach each project with care, discernment, and respect for the author’s voice.
Through Refined by Candace℠, I support Christian women as they bring their books forward—from the earliest stages of developing an idea to refining the manuscript and preparing it for readers. My work is especially close to my heart when I am entrusted with memoirs, devotionals, inspirational nonfiction, and other faith-filled messages created to encourage, equip, and transform lives.
My professional Christian coaching training has also strengthened my ability to listen, ask meaningful questions, and help women identify what may be keeping them stuck. Within Author Blueprint Coaching℠, I combine that coaching foundation with personalized guidance, accountability, and my experience as a fellow writer to help aspiring authors make meaningful progress toward completing their first drafts.

Candace, the Woman
Beyond the books and beautiful designs, I’m a stay-at-home wife and homeschooling mama of three boys, living in South Carolina’s Low Country.
I have the joy of doing life with my husband, whom I consider the best photographer in the world. I enjoy video and board games with my family, dancing goofily, spending time with the people I love, eating good food—and anything with enough chocolate to make the calories worthwhile. I also value quiet moments to slow down, laugh, reflect, and be.
My faith, family, creativity, and love of words are woven into who I am and how I serve. If you are looking for someone who will value both your message and the heart behind it, I would be honored to learn more about the book you have been carrying.
